let me explain what scalp micropigmentation is also known as SMP / scalp tattoo/ hair
tattoo/ scalp micropigmentation is a treatment that uses microneedles and pigment to replicate tiny little hair follicles
throughout the area of hair loss so that
the individual looked as if they have a
fuller head of hair. Scalp
micropigmentation can be used to restore
hair lines, thicken existing hair, and
even camouflage scarring that is a
result of hair transplants. In fact, one

A hair transplant is a surgical procedure that will take hair from a donor area, usually in the back of the head and implant that hair onto the area that's suffering from hair loss which is usually in the front or throughout the top of the scalp. This can be
done in two methods: there's an FUT method which takes a strip of skin and cuts it out of the scalp. The hair from that skin is then implanted onto the area up top or it can be done robotically using FUE procedure where one by one each hairstrand is dissected and then subsequently implanted on the top scalp to sum it up whether you do an FUT or
an FUE procedure the whole goal is the same. It's to take hair from one area of
that head and put it where it's not.

CAN SCALP MICROPIGMENTATION DISGUISE SCARS ON THE SCALP?

HOW MANY SESSIONS WILL I NEED?
Everyone experiences hairloss differently, and therefore the amount of sessions that you will need vary depending on the extent of your hairloss.
Scalp Micropigmentation treatments take about 3-4 hours for the first session, 2-3 hours for the second session & depending on the extent of hair loss, a Third session may be needed, which would be 2-3 hours.
HOW LONG DO I HAVE TO WAIT AFTER RECEIVING MY TREATMENT BEFORE I CAN SHAVE WITH A RAZOR?
At the very least, one week. Your scalp is still in the healing process for at least one week after this treatment.
WHEN AM I ABLE TO EXPOSE MY HEAD TO SUNLIGHT?
You should wait at least 30 days after your procedure date before exposing your scalp to the sunlight without a hat or sunscreen. We recommend that you use a sunscreen with SPF 30, or a cap / hat for any time that you are out in the first month.
WILL SWEATING INTERFERE WITH MY HEALING?
Although you can’t completely control sweating, we recommend waiting at least four days before doing things that cause a light sweat, if possible. After 10 days, any level of sweating should not affect your healing at all.
WHAT IS THE AVERAGE TIME BETWEEN SESSIONS?
We always suggest to our clients to wait at least six days after their initial treatment to have a second session.
Every procedure package comes with at least two treatments. This secondary procedure ensures optimal results while allowing for minor adjustments to the hairline and color after the product has had the necessary time to cure.
WILL THIS WORK ON LIGHT-SKINNED PEOPLE WITH BLONDE OR LIGHT BROWN HAIR?

What should I avoid after Scalp Micropigmentation ?
NO TOUCHING: Don't rub, scratch, or pick the area with unclean fingers as your skin is still freshly "open" and your fingers may have bacteria which could cause an infection.

WHAT IS THE SCALP MICROPIGMENTATION AFTERCARE?
Days 1-3
No touching, shaving, or wetting the treated area. You can use a clean wet towel to cleanse your scalp.
NO EXCESSIVE SWEATING: Avoid any physical activities that may cause you to sweat unnecessarily.
Avoid swimming, steam room, and saunas.
Days 3-5
Wash your head gently with cold water and gentle soap such as Aveeno Baby Shampoo.
Apply moisturizer three times daily (with clean hands) to prevent dryness and flaky skin. We recommend using a non-perfumed moisturizer such as Aveeno body moisturizer.
If you do need to shave your head, we advise using an electric razor, to prevent the pigment from being disturbed. No wet shaving with a razor blade for 10 days post each procedure session.
You can perform activities from which you sweat lightly.
DAY 7 AND ONWARD:
You can go back to your regular showering and working out rituals.
When SMP Treatment Is Complete:
It is important to protect your investment and the longevity of the SMP, therefore it strongly encouraged to use a non-greasy sunscreen with 30 to 50 SPF.
Moisturize daily with a light hydrating cream.
