AFTER CARE

Do not let any water, lotion, soap, or makeup touch your eyebrow area during the first 10 days after your procedure. READ THOROUGHLY! It is essential that you follow these instructions after your Microblading session:

DAY OF TREATMENT

2-3 hours after treatment, gently clean the area with a very small amount of sterile water on a cotton pad, just barely damp, NOT wet. Do this 2 to 4 times today to avoid build-up of blood/lymph on the area.

Day 2 & 3

When you wake up, gently wipe the area with a small amount of sterile water on a cotton pad. Be extra careful not to rub the brows hard, tug or scrub the brows. Do this 2 to 4 more times today to avoid any build-up of blood/lymph Using a cotton swab, you may apply a very small amount of Aquaphor to brows (very small amount-like half the size of a grain of rice for both brows). This is just to add a small amount of moisture – brows should not appear greasy, glossy or shiny, if they do, you used too much. Do not use aggressive movement/manipulation of the skin- be gentle. Make sure your hands are clean before touching your brows.

Day 4-14

Gently clean the brow area with a damp cotton pad, you may use a drop or 2 of alcohol free witch hazel (added to the damp pad) to clean the brows 2-4 times a day. If your brows feel tight or dry, you may apply an extremely thin layer of Aquaphor after cleansing (brows should not be greasy, glossy, or shiny – if so, you used too much).

LIP COLOR PRE-CARE & AFTERCARE

Please understand that how well you follow the Pre and After -Care for your eyeliner will affect how fast you heal.

As a necessary precaution, we require ALL of our LIP BLUSHING  clients to take an anti-viral medication for a total of 5 days (2 days prior to procedure, 1 day-of, and 2 days post-procedure).

You will need to contact your physician in order to obtain your prescription strength anti-viral medication. You must inform them of your decision to have permanent cosmetics applied to your lips and they will need to call your prescription in for you to pick up at your pharmacy.

Most clients report taking Tylenol to alleviate any discomfort after the lip tattoo.

Lubricating refresher drops may be used in the event that your eyes feel dry.

Apply Aquaphor with a Q-tip twice daily for 10 days after cleaning. It should like the size of a grain of rice. Please do not rub or scrub your lips, you do not want to disrupt the skin while the pigment is settling.

I cannot stress this enough, please DO NOT pull or pick any scabs that may form. Allow it to fall off naturally! As with any scab, if you don't keep it moisturized enough, there may be some itching, which is normal.

I highly suggest using a clean ice pack (wrapped in a paper towel or cloth) for 10-minute intervals for the first 48 hours.

For a minimum of 7 days, do not wear makeup on or around lips.

-Avoid pool, sauna, steam rooms, steamy

showers, and hot baths for 10 days.

Avoid sweating on your face for 10 days. Sweating through or on the brows will expel pigment from the dermis producing poor "patchy results.

NO underwater swimming and bathing for 4 weeks to avoid bacterial infection.

Avoid direct sun exposure and tanning beds for a minimum of 4 weeks after your procedure. Direct sunlight can cause the pigment to change color while it is healing and can also cause hyper pigmentation and scarring.

EYELINER PRE-CARE & AFTERCARE

Please understand that how well you follow the Pre and After -Care for your eyeliner will affect how fast you heal.

For your comfort, we like to recommend to our clients to have someone drive them home after their eyeliner procedure.

Refrain from wearing eye contacts during the procedure and for 24 hrs after.

We recommend bringing your sunglasses. Eyes may be light sensitive, not to mention the sunglasses are also handy for hiding puffy eyes.

Apply moisturizer three times daily (with clean hands) to prevent dryness and flaky skin. We recommend using a non-perfumed moisturizer such as Aveeno body moisturizer.

• Hydrate and moisturize your skin constantly to achieve the best results. Be sure to drink extra water throughout the healing process. Never let your skin dry out! Avoid sun exposure as well as chemical peels a few days before your treatment.

The day before doing brow henna, exfoliate your skin to ensure maximum penetration of the henna mixture.

BROW HENNA AFTER CARE:

For the first 24 hours post-eyebrow henna, you should just 100% LEAVE THEM ALONE.

This means you should 100% avoid wetting your eyebrows, rubbing the area, brow makeup, hot temperatures, and moisture (think: jacuzzis and saunas),  and sun exposure. If you're looking to prolong your results, avoid using any oil-based products. Since henna is a natural exfoliant, she recommends wearing sunscreen to protect the skin from sun damage.

Tattoo Removal Aftercare

TATTOO REMOVAL AFTER-CARE:

TATTOO REMOVAL HEALING INSTRUCTIONS:

FAILURE TO FOLLOW THESE AFTERCARE INSTRUCTIONS MAY REDUCE THE EFFECT OF THE TREATMENT AND MAY RESULT IN UNDESIRED PROBLEMS SUCH AS HYPERPIGMENTATION, SCARRING OR INFECTION.

IN THE UNLIKELY EVENT OF AN INFECTION, YOUR TECHNICIAN CANNOT GIVE YOU MEDICAL ADVICE, SO IMMEDIATELY SEE ATTENTION FROM A GP DOCTOR OR PHARMACIST.

*SKIN PRONE TO HYPERPIGMENTATION*:  For those prone to hyperpigmentation, its imperative to follow 'First 48 hours" advice.  After 48 hours the scab and surrounding skin must not be allowed to dry out or hyperpigmentation can occur.  Re-apply Cavilon cream every 2 or 3 days until skin returns to a normal color.

FIRST 48 HOURS:  Any redness surrounding the treated area subsides within an hour or two.  Redness within the treated area must be allowed to fully dry out over the next 48 hours.  For most people the area is touch dry within the first few hours.  Only touch the area with very clean hands, ideally no touching for 48 hours.  If the skin is not allowed to dry out quickly you will not get the best results.  Saline wound care wipes can be used to gently remove excess oil i.e. for scalp tattoos.

Clean every 2-3 hours with peroxide :)

Do not use any other aftercare products during this initial drying out phase.  Do not get the area wet or sweaty for 48 hours.

For lip liner treatments, during this phase keep movements small and to a minimum.

AFTER 48 HOURS:  The treated area is now very dry, and a light scab will have formed.  You may see pigment visible in the scab.

ONE SINGLE APPLICATION of Cavilon barrier cream/Aquaphor on and slightly around the scab.  You may get the area a little wet when washing and showering, avoid rubbing the area.

After any EXPOSURE TO WATER, gently hold a clean lint-less paperwork or cotton round on the scab to dry it out.  No excessive wetting the area, no swimming, sauna, sweating etc. while the scab is on.

Depending on the area treated, the scab will remain firmly attached for 5 to 14 days.  Excessive movements are likely to crack the scab, which is NOT ideal for easy healing.

DO NOT  attempt to remove the scab before it naturally heals away from the treated area.  For eyebrows, the scab might be held in eyebrow hair until gently removed.  At no time can you pick off attached scabs, you will cause unwanted results.

AFTER THE SCAB HEALS OFF:  The pigment may look visibly lighter or different for the first 1-8 weeks.  These are not considered results, it's your skin healing and the remaining pigment settling in.  You may begin using makeup on the area if desired.  Treat the area gently, no exfoliating or excessive sun exposure.  The second treatment can be carried out after 8 weeks.  Treatment cycle is 8 weeks,8 weeks, 12 weeks and repeat as required.  We leave a longer time if the skin has not returned to a normal color.
