Moderate swelling is normal and it may last between 24-72 hours following the eyeliner procedure. Many clients love to come in on their last day of work that way they have two days off to heal at home.

In the healing process the skin begins its regeneration process, making the eyeliner look a bit spotty. The eyeliner will heal to a nice color that will have faded up to 50% in color, this is why a touch up is needed in 6-8 weeks.

There are various factors that affect your healing process:

Remember all of your body is connected, therefore when we are working on the skin which is a living organ, we must consider doing our part to help heal it from the inside in. The following factors have affects on your immune system:

The more stressed you are, the lower your immune system is, leaving you vulnerable to infection. Please stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water and get rest.

Protect your investment after you’ve healed!

  • Exposure to the sun and tanning beds will cause premature fading and discoloration of the pigment.

  • Apply daily sunscreen on brow area once completely healed (10 days).

  • For further sun protection wear hats, sunglasses, and stay in the shade!

  • Lasers will alter the color of the pigment. 20% zinc oxide must covering your eyeliner tattoo prior to any laser services.

  • Yearly touchups are recommended to maintain your results.

  • Certain ingredients found in skincare products and services are responsible for premature fading of your eyeliner tattoo and may also alter the pigment color. Please apply a barrier layer of Aquaphor over your eyeliner tattoo before use of any of the following: glycolic acid, salicylic acid, alpha hydroxy acid, hydroquinone, retinol/retin-a, vitamin c, peels, microdermabrasion, Obagi,or anything anything that brightens or treats hyperpigmentation.

  • Frequent swimmers, should apply a barrier layer of Vaseline over your tattoo prior to swimming, to prevent premature fading.

Please understand, we care about you and we strive to give you the absolute best, that is why we have a ZERO TOLERANCE POLICY for those who fail to follow our Pre and After Care Instructions. WE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO  DENY YOUR SERVICES TO PROTECT YOU.

As mentioned, since the skin is a living, breathing organism, this is not an exact since, as with everything in life. There are no implied or written guarantees, especially if you do not follow instructions!
